Hi everyone, I'm Khephren and welcome to RMIT.
If you're considering studying with us or you just want to check out the campus vibe, then RMIT’s Open Day, or NextFest as we call it, is your best opportunity to experience our amazing spaces and get a taste of what uni life is like.
Whether you’re attending NextFest at our city, Brunswick or Bundoora campuses, here are seven quick tips on how to prepare for RMIT's Open Day.
First up, remember to register for regular updates by visiting rmit.edu.au/openday and entering your details.
Here you’ll also find a full schedule of what's happening, where and when.
Just click on your study area you’re interested in and download the relevant guide.
Using the guide, make a note of any of the activities you like the sound of.
There are loads of information sessions, presentations, displays, activations, and high-tech spaces you can check out.
If you're still working out what you want to study, meeting with our academics or teachers in person and chatting about your options is a great way to find out more about the courses that interest you.
They can answer all the big questions you have, so come prepared with a few things you'd like to ask.
There's a lot more to uni than just studying.
At RMIT there are so many clubs and societies that are super easy to join and a great way to meet new people.
If you're a dancer, gamer, sport lover or film buff, we've got a group for you.
Come down and check out the stalls and say hi.

These are a great way to get a feel for where you might spend most of your time at uni, whether that's in our beautiful art and design spaces, next level science and engineering labs, or state-of-the-art health facilities.
If you're wondering where your studies might take you, many of our industry partners will make an appearance at Open Day.
So take the opportunity to visit them and learn what skills your future employers are looking for.
Lastly, make sure you do a little preparation before you attend.
Plan out your route on public transport or work out where you can park nearby.
All the information can be found on our Open Day website under Plan Your Journey.
And my number one tip? Remember a rug up and wear your walking shoes, RMIT is big and Melbourne can be chilly.
See all there.
